Purna Bhudia

Purna is responsible for credit oversight of the real asset portfolios. She manages both the inhouse Credit Risk Team and the outsourced loan surveillance operations at Mount Street. 

Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Purna was Head of Private Credit at the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), responsible for the management of the insourced and externally managed credit assets held to support liability driven investment strategies. Purna joined the PPF in 2017, where she built an inhouse public and private credit desk. She was responsible for setting up operating models and governance frameworks to meet PPF hedging objectives. Prior to PPF Purna has built over 20 years credit market experience working across several asset managers, including LGIM, Friends Life, Liverpool Victoria and Fischer Francis Trees and Watts. Over her career she had experience as an analyst, as an originator and a portfolio manager and has experience of both public and private credit markets in both investment grade and high yield. Within this time, she has worked on the build out of two asset management functions, at the PPF and Friends Life.
