Main responsibilities
Barry leads the Aviva Client Relationship team, responsible for the relationship between Aviva Investors and the UK and Irish internal client teams that account for 80% of AI’s AUM.
Prior to taking this interim position, Barry led the Alternative Income team in Private Markets, driving some £23bn of investment across private debt and long income strategies.
Barry serves on a number of other governance and oversight committees, including our UK management company and chairs the supervisory board of our Luxembourg management company.
Experience and qualifications
Barry joined Aviva Investors in 2014, having previously undertaken a variety of roles across the SME, leveraged finance and real estate debt teams in Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. Barry is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and a past chair of Corporate Real Estate Finance Council for Europe.
