Main responsibilities

Tom leads on deal execution and portfolio management with a focus on the Science & Technology and Healthcare sectors.

Experience and qualifications

Tom joined Aviva Ventures in November 2021, having previously been co-fund manager of the Aviva UK Equity Stewardship Fund and part of a small team that managed £13bn AUM. Tom had sector responsibilities for Financial Services including Investment Trusts.

Tom has led numerous complex transactions both into portfolio companies and fund structures and currently serves on the boards of Appyway and Scan.com.

Tom holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham university and is a CFA Charterholder. Tom has completed the Oxford Said Business School’s Private Markets Investment Programme and Cambridge University’s Business Sustainability course.
