Ben leads on the overall strategy for Venture investing and is a member of the Private Markets senior leadership team.
Experience and qualifications
Ben was the founding managing director of Aviva Ventures having set the fund up in 2015 as part of Aviva’s broader growth and innovation strategy.
Prior to setting up Aviva Ventures, Ben was the Strategy Director for Aviva’s General Insurance business. He has also held senior positions in enterprise risk and finance. Ben has represented Aviva externally on multiple levels including being part of the investment chapter of the Kalifa review into Fintech, a board member of Technation’s Fintech Delivery Panel and most recently working with both the ABI and the BVCA on the Mansion House Reforms.
Ben serves on the boards of start-up accelerator Founders Factory, the fintech platform Wealthify and is the Chair of Aviva Capital Partners, investing in capital projects to generate long-term income for our customers and help the UK to grow.
He was previously Chair (SMF9) of the investment platform Wealthify.
